I had a visit from a nurse from the Christie Hospital she came to have a chat and to buy some cards; when we were talking she told me about a couple more young people who had lost their fight against this horrible disease; and although it upset me and made me think of their poor families, it also has made me even more determined to raise the money needed to start a research fund so that more families don’t have to suffer as we are, and hopefully we will eventually prevent more young people from needlessly losing their lives to this awful disease.
If people send donations through the post please send me a note when you do so that I can write back personally it just seems a little impersonal having to say thank you on the web site but to those of you who have sent cheques in and not received a personal thanks it is because I did not know where to send my thanks to!

I have been to see the Professor on the Young Oncology Unit at the Christie Hospital in Manchester and he is very enthusiastic about funding a research post into causative factors and treatment for brain tumours in young people,

HOWEVER…
The fund needs to raise approx £100,000 per annum so any fundraising ideas or even offers to run a fundraising event would be gratefully appreciated!
