My super fit friend (Caron) has persuaded me to ‘do’ the 3 peaks over 3 days - I didn’t feel that I could cope doing them all in 24 hours but she feels that we can do 1 per day!!!
watch this space for more information!
Well what a fantastic evening we had at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester on Saturday night. Despite many last minute hitches everyone rallied round to help as usual, and we truly had a good time and we raised a staggering £16,000! which someone has generously offered to match so it may well be £32,000
I will be updating the amount on the web site as soon as we have final figure, just waiting to bank the last few cheques from auction prizes.
Photos should be coming out to those of you who requested them within the next two weeks; but please keep in mind that the guy who did the photos did them as a favour to me and does a Proper job during the week !so he is doing these in his own time! so you may have to be a little patient!
I will hopefully put some onto the web site as soon as they are ready so all can see what a good time we had!
I have already booked the same venue for next year!! so make a note in your diaries …
I think the tickets may go even faster this time! 29th November 2008.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL who came and supported us and who continue to do so, please keep spreading the word about our charity and if anybody feels that they could support us long term on an annual basis that would be fantastic (doesn’t matter how much it all helps) so that we can continue to grow, and perhaps we will be able to make a difference to this dreadful disease.
Karen

A huge thanks to Caron and Simon who both ran in the London marathon for us and raised in excess of £3,000 between them!
THANK YOU!!!!
A thank you is due to Angela Tyson and her friends who held an end of term disco for their local school and donated the proceeds to our charity.
£500 was raised!
well done to you all and I hope you had a good night too?
Beech Road Festival in Manchester was on July 1st.
Beech Road is a lively, trendy area full of bars, restaurants and shops. They have a festival every year and various charities and local businesses have stalls, there are also bands playing and funfair rides, so fun for all.
Despite the rain the festival was busy and once again a great success. Together with a friend Jo Murphy ran a stall selling bric-a -brac and Sangria ( the friend is Spanish so the recipe for Sangria was authentic!)
The money raised by the stall was split half for Jo’s nominated charity (CCCRF) and half for her friend’s.
They raised £180 for each charity- not bad for a rainy day in Manchester!!!
A big thanks to all who supported the festival and to Jo for fundraising and giving to our charity.
